Fisherman Call is a new wake-up service created by Japanese fisherman Waking up early can be tough, especially if you’re a recent graduate who is new to the 9-to-5 shift. Sometimes you just keep hitting that snooze button over and over. But if you live in Japan, you’re in luck because a new service will have Japanese fisherman call you bright and early from the high seas. Now if that doesn’t get your day going, I don’t know what will. Shota Abe is one of the many fisherman you can choose to wake you up in the morning The service, which has the self-explanatory name “ Fisherman Call ,” was created by real fisherman who are part of the Fisherman Japan organization. Based in the Sanriku region, they work in the waters of one of the world’s top three fishing grounds. Press Release: Barba’s medium is film: her work draws in various ways on filmic methods and genres, and film’s narrative possibilities are a highly important aspect. The result is a series of experimental approaches in which all the elements – the images produced, the sound, and the film projection equipment itself – work together and become conveyors of meaning. Rather than reinforcing the boundaries between genres, her works seem to dissolve them: documentary is combined with fiction, myth with reality, tangible objects with text, so that history is traced through poetic and non-linear...

Inspired by his daily experience of life in the Pacific Midwest, artist and designer Greg Klassen ( previously ) fabricates one-of-a-kind tables featuring blue glass rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. The topographical studies mimic bodies of water seen from an aerial view, but the twisting blue pathways are often defined by the wood pieces he selects. While the majority of Klassen’s work serves as functional art, he’s also begun to create more isolated wood and glass sculptures mounted on walls .
